About the Castaway Bay Resort

Not only is Cedar Point home to the wet-tastic world of Soak City, but in 2004 the park opened its first indoor water park resort, Castaway Bay. Located at the base of the Cedar Point Causeway with convenient access to the amusement park, Castaway Bay is a getaway in and of itself. The tropical Caribbean theme is sure to delight visitors young and old, and the many attractions and amenities of the resort make this a great option for families interested in a unique Cedar Point vacation or a fun time at a water park resort even if they choose not to visit the amusement park.

Rooms

The more than 200 rooms and suites of Castaway Bay in Ohio are luxuriously appointed with private decks or balconies, microwaves, mini-refrigerators, and other amenities. Rooms are spacious and designed for families; in fact, many rooms have adjoining doors to accommodate larger groups. All rooms are non-smoking.

Waterpark

Castaway Bay’s most popular feature is its 38,000 square foot indoor waterpark, complete with palm trees, lagoons, and thatched huts to complement the resort’s Caribbean theme. Attractions include:

• Multiple play areas featuring floats, basketball hoops, and other water elements, including a toddler pool
• A 100,000 gallon wave pool with three foot waves
• Lookout Lagoon Family Funhouse with four water slides and more than 100 different water guns, fountains, and geysers, topped with a tipping bucket for the ultimate splash
• Rendezvous Run, the park’s water coaster with more than 500 feet of jet-propelled excitement
• Giant whirlpool spas for adults to indulge
• Indoor/outdoor water slides

Peanuts Characters

Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, and the rest of the Peanuts gang are frequent guest stars at Castaway Bay, where they participate in a number of fun events for the whole family. Meet and greet sittings, karaoke sing-a-longs, dance parties, and evening story times are just some of the activities where children can meet their favorite Peanuts friends.

Spa

For a true pampering experience, Castaway Bay guests can take advantage of the resort’s luxurious spa facilities. A variety of treatments are available, including:

• Camp Castaway: This daycare program is available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and includes crafts, games, coloring activities, and other fun activities.
• Arcade: Guests can try their skills on the latest video games in this high-tech play land.
• Marina: The resort is adjacent to a marina on Lake Erie for boating guests’ convenience.
• Restaurants: Several restaurants and snack bars are available on site, including a TGI Friday’s and a buffet for the whole family.
• Early Cedar Point Admission: Guests of all the Cedar Point resorts are eligible to enter the amusement park an hour early to enjoy selected rides before the general gates open. Park admission is required.

Room rates range from $229 to $369 per night depending on the room size, view, and amenities. Resort package deals are available that include Cedar Point and Soak City tickets, discounts, parking vouchers, and other benefits. Group rates are available. Day Passes

Guests interested in visiting Castaway Bay without staying overnight can take advantage of limited day passes to the waterpark. Passes cost $29 per person and are available Mondays through Thursdays, though some additional blackout dates apply. Evening waterpark passes are $15 per person.
