Cheapest Disney Tickets
From LoveToKnow Themeparks
With so many different parks making up both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, many guests look for the cheapest Disney tickets possible so they can enjoy all the parks without breaking the bank.
Types of Disney Discount Tickets
Depending on the type of Disney theme park tickets you are interested in, you can find a wide array of discount offers. Because the Orlando Disney park complex is far larger and more popular than its California counterpart, many offers apply only to the Florida destination, but guests interested in a good deal will be able to find multiple discounts no matter which park they plan to visit or when they choose to go.
Official Park Discounts
Several types of discounts are available directly at the gate, and these are often the easiest option when looking for the cheapest tickets. Both Florida and southern California resident discounts are available for their respective parks, and group discounts are another popular option for families, school trips, church groups, and other large parties. Different types of regular tickets can also become cheap deals when used appropriately – a multi-day park pass, for example, has a lower daily rate than purchasing individual tickets.
Online Broker Tickets
Bulk online ticket dealers are a great way to find cheap Disney tickets. These retailers are able to offer discounts because they sell so many tickets, but prospective buyers should be aware that not every ticket sold online is necessarily discounted. Some discounts are only a dollar or two, and shipping charges may overwhelm such small discounts. On the whole, however, there are many reputable online ticket brokers offering less expensive Disney tickets, including:
- Discount Theme Park Vacations
- Know Before You Go
- Easy Orlando Vacations Online
- Orlando Fun Tickets
- DW Tickets
- Vacation Store USA
The exact deals each online retailer offers vary and new promotions are always appearing, so be sure to check websites frequently to find inexpensive tickets.
Presentation Tickets
Some of the cheapest Disney tickets of all are presentation tickets – they may be only $10 or $20 each, or they may even be free. There is a catch, however: individuals who want to purchase these cheap tickets must attend presentations or tours of condominiums, resorts, or other vacation properties before they can receive their tickets. Presentations may last as little as thirty minutes or may be several hours long – the longer the presentation, the cheaper the tickets usually are. The purpose of the presentation may be a sales pitch (though participants are not obligated to make any purchase in order to receive the cheap ticket deal), or it may be part of a market research study. Certain conditions apply to most presentation ticket offers – companies using this approach may only extend the offer to certain individuals, and only a limited number of tickets may be purchased.
Hotel Package Discounts
Other than the official Disney hotels, other hotels and resorts may offer discounts on Disney park tickets. Some hotels even offer free tickets for longer stays or for booking multiple rooms. Like all promotional offers, the exact terms and conditions vary widely between hotels.
Auction Tickets
Some eager park guests may want to investigate online auction sales for cheap tickets, but they should take extra precautions to be sure they do not inadvertently purchase a used or otherwise invalid ticket. Another wise step is to investigate the seller’s reputation before purchasing tickets, and check to see how and when the tickets will be delivered. Great deals can be found through online auctions with proper caution.
Finding the Cheapest Disney Tickets
With so many ways to find discount Disney tickets, comparison shopping is essential. Bookmark online ticket brokers to check for updated offers and new promotions, check the official Disney websites periodically for new offers, and be sure to leverage personal ties (state residency, military discounts, group rates, etc.) for even better bargains.
Other Disney Discounts
In addition to finding cheap tickets, there are other types of discounts that can turn a fantasy Disney vacation into a great bargain, such as:
- Choosing less expensive hotels that offer free shuttles to the parks (this also avoids parking fees).
- Avoiding theme park food and opting for less expensive meals outside the gates.
- Purchasing souvenirs at discount stands outside the park.
- Traveling in the off season when parks typically offer greater discounts and package deals.
Even the small savings from each step can accrue into a great deal for an unforgettable getaway.
With a single day park admission ticket costing $50 or more, looking for the cheapest Disney tickets is a great way to save money so you can experience more fun in the park. By saving even a few dollars on admission or through other bargain tricks, you can afford that pair of mouse ears, a souvenir photo, or even – with the biggest bargains of all – an extra day to enjoy all the fun and magic of the Disney theme parks.

Mr. Cheap Disney, I appreciate your viewpoint. It's disheartening that people will take advantage of a family's desire to go to Disney to cheat them out of their money. Thanks for visiting Love To Know Theme Parks.
-- Contributed by: HVLongThis is a very interesting discussion. I like Disney, but I also like it cheap. That is why my friends jokingly call me "Mr. Cheap Disney". :) Anyway, one thing to definitely watch out for is ticket scams. They have been written up in the Orlando Sentinel many times. I only purchase tickets themselves from authorized resellers or AAA.

If the group is larger, however, you may qualify for a discounted group rate. I'd recommend checking out some of the resources above and comparing it to the regular admission rates and group rates to see what will be the best deal for your budget.
