Disney Free Birthday Admission
From LoveToKnow Themeparks
There is no better way to celebrate getting older in 2009 than with the Disney free birthday admission promotion. Enjoy your happy birthday at the happiest place on Earth with this free celebration offer.
About the Birthday Offer
From January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 everyone can get one free admission ticket to their favorite Disney theme park, but only on their birthday. The offer is valid both at the Disneyland theme park in California as well as Walt Disney World in Florida, but it is not valid at Disney parks outside the United States.
To redeem the free birthday admission offer, guests should register online with their birthday information (online registration is not required to redeem the offer at Florida Disney parks). Upon registering, guests will receive a confirmation that should be printed, and they will also receive a reminder email two weeks prior to their birthday. That confirmation should be brought to the park’s admission booths or ticket will call windows along with a photo ID such as a passport or driver’s license. Guests who do not have a photo ID will need to present an official copy of their birth certificate to confirm their birth date.
The free birthday ticket offer is good for anyone age three and older (guests two years old and younger do not require tickets for admission to Disney parks). Children under 13 years of age cannot register online, though their parents can register for them.
Free tickets may only be used on the individual’s birthday, and raincheck offers are not available. Guests can opt to pay additional fees to upgrade their basic park admission ticket to a different type of ticket such as a park hopper or multi-day ticket.
Unusual Situations
For some Disney guests, this free birthday offer can be more complicated. If your birthday is on February 29, you may choose to use the free ticket on either February 28 or March 1. Guests who are already season passholders or who already have tickets to a Disney park for their birthday (such as part of a Disney World vacation package) can choose an alternate offer, including:
- A fun card worth the value of the ticket price that can be used to purchase souvenirs and other merchandise; valid only on the individual’s birthday
- FastPASS access for the birthday guest and up to five other people, valid only on the birthday
- An equivalent ticket for one Disney park that may be used on any other regular operating day until the individual’s next birthday
Make the Most of Your Disney Free Birthday Admission
To make the most of a birthday celebration at Disneyland or Disney World, consider…
- Using the savings from the free Disney ticket to purchase personalized souvenirs as mementos of the special day.
- Opting for a character dining experience or other special way to commemorate this visit to your favorite Disney park.
- Ordering a miniature birthday cake from one of the park’s full service restaurants to add a sweet touch to the celebration.
- Choosing to stay in one of the hotels at Disneyland or Walt Disney World resorts for an extra special birthday treat.
- Use a map of Disneyworld or Disneyland park map to plan the perfect day without missing any rides, shows, or attractions.
- Take advantage of cheap Disney tickets and group rate offers to bring all your friends along for the celebration.

Fantastic offer that will help my family take our last son to the "happiest palce on earth..." Despite this depressing economy, we hope to go in October!
