Disneyland Annual Passes
From LoveToKnow Themeparks
Disneyland annual passes are a great option for anyone visiting the Southern California theme park for a few days, whether they are planning a long getaway or just a few short visits throughout the year.
Types of Disneyland Annual Passes
There are several types of season passes available for the Disneyland resort parks. Which pass to choose depends on each guest’s visitation needs – some passes include additional benefits, while some are cheaper but have more restrictions.
Deluxe Annual Passports
These passports give guests unlimited access to both Disney parks for a total of 315 days throughout the year. Select dates, including Saturdays during the summer months, Thanksgiving weekend, the Christmas holiday season, and the Fourth of July are blacked out. Passholders also receive a 10 percent dining discount at select restaurants with a minimum purchase, and are eligible to take advantage of exclusive passholder deals at the hotels at Disneyland.
Deluxe annual passport prices are $270.
Premium Annual Passports
Premium Disneyland annual passes are slightly more expensive, but they offer passholders a wider range of benefits. There are no blackout dates and the passes are good for a full 365 consecutive days. The pass automatically includes parking fees, and offers a 10 percent discount on merchandise at select souvenir shops with a minimum $10 purchase, as well as a 10 to 15 percent dining discount at select restaurants. Premium passholders are also eligible for special deals at the resort hotels.
The cost of a premium pass is $389.
Cheaper Deals for Southern California Residents
Individuals who live in Southern California can take advantage of special resident rates, though the passes do have more restrictions than the general annual passports. Other benefits are the same as the Deluxe Annual Passport, including the available discounts.
- Southern California Annual Passport: This pass offers park access for 215 days during the year – many Saturdays and the busier months of June, July, and August as well as popular holidays are largely blocked out. Pass prices are:
- $169 regular
- $228 with parking
- Southern California Select Annual Passport: This pass is only valid for 170 days. All weekends, the busiest summer months, and popular holiday dates are blacked out. Pass prices are:
- $129 regular
- $188 with parking
Guests should note that the privileges and discounts available with Disneyland annual passes as well as their overall prices are subject to change without notice. Proof of residency (verified by zip code) is required for purchasing Southern California resident passes. Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable, and there are no discounted passes for children or senior citizens. Resident pass deals change from season to season, so it is best to investigate current deals before choosing a particular pass.
Pass Savings
Spending hundreds of dollars for admission to a theme park, even such superbly designed parks as Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure, is something that many families have to consider very carefully. With the general admission price of a single day at either Disney park higher than $50, the passes can easily pay for themselves in only seven or eight visits. Over the course of a year, that means visiting the park only about every six weeks. Individuals who visit the park more frequently will save even more, and may want to consider passes with greater benefits such as free parking.
What Passes Don’t Do
At the same time, Disneyland annual passes are not magical discount cards. Because the dining and merchandise discounts require a minimum purchase, passholders will not get a cheaper deal if they’re just interested in a quick snack or a cool drink. Passes also do not guarantee Fastpass access or other ride-related benefits that many guests enjoy. While blackout dates make some pass variations less expensive, interested guests should note that the blackout dates are also the most popular visiting times during school vacations and holidays – kids with limited passports won’t be able to use them when they most need a diversion.
Disneyland annual passes can be a great deal for prospective visitors who plan to spend more than a day or two at the theme parks. With different privileges and benefits, there is a pass to meet everyone’s vacation needs, and careful consideration of different types of passes will help everyone find just the right way to enjoy the magic of the Disneyland resort all year long.

Cindy - I'd recommend you contact Disneyland for the particulars on whether or not they can accept non-residential addresses, though I'd say it's a long shot since that annual pass deal is designed for very local residents. You never know, though, and contacting customer service can get you the most updated information.
