Six Flags Over Georgia Theme Park Tickets
From LoveToKnow Themeparks
Regardless of how many great attractions, thrilling roller coasters, or amazing shows an amusement park may have, it is impossible to experience any of it without the proper tickets, but fortunately Six Flags Over Georgia theme park tickets offer visitors many options for a perfect getaway.
About Six Flags Over Georgia
Six Flags Over Georgia is a 230-acre theme park complex just west of Atlanta along Interstate 20. Like all the related Six Flags parks, this installation offers quality entertainment, attractions, and dining with the added convenience of being very near a major metropolitan area, making it easily accessible. But guests cannot enjoy the fun rides, Looney Tunes characters, or southern charm of this park without appropriate tickets.
Types of Six Flags Over Georgia Theme Park Tickets
Every large amusement park offers a variety of different admission options to suit a wide range of visitors’ needs. Six Flags Over Georgia is no exception, and guests have the option of basic daily admission tickets, season passes, and other types of tickets covering extra attractions (and offering extra benefits). Furthermore, guests can either purchase their tickets at the park gate or they can opt for the Print-N-Go tickets that can be purchased online and printed at home to bypass lengthy gate lines. Print-N-Go tickets also offer slight discounts, but when printing tickets, prospective visitors need to take a few precautions:
- Read all fine print about the ticket carefully. Specially priced tickets may have blackout or expiration dates or may apply only to specific types of guests (military personnel or senior citizens, for example).
- Do not print tickets with a near-empty ink cartridge – if the printing is not clear, its authenticity could be challenged and the ticket may be rejected.
- After printing the ticket, do not fold or bend it excessively, and keep the bar code area as clean and neat as possible so there are no reading problems at the park.
General Admission
General admission Six Flags Over Georgia theme park tickets cost $40 at the park gate and $30 if purchased online. These tickets cover all standard operating days during the park’s April through December season, but may not include special events. Children under 48 inches tall may purchase a ticket for $30 because they are not tall enough to enjoy many of the park’s high thrill attractions and roller coasters, and children ages 2 and younger are admitted free.
Season Passes
Guests who plan to visit the park at least three times may want to investigate a season pass. These tickets begin at $75 each depending on when they are purchased (there are both early and late season deals) and what type of privileges they offer. Season passes are printed with an individual guest photo (which will be taken at the park) and offer passholders a number of extra benefits, including:
- Free admission to all 18 participating Six Flags parks nationwide, perfect for a quick getaway for different thrills.
- A coupon book with more than $300 worth of discounts and special offers.
- Discounts at select souvenir stands and restaurants in the park.
- Bring-A-Friend free admission coupons for guests who accompany the passholder on select dates.
Clearly, a season pass is a great deal and well worth it for anyone who will visit the park frequently.
Flash Pass
The Flash Pass is Six Flags’ version of V.I.P. rider privileges, and Six Flags Over Georgia was the first park to use the pay-for-the-privilege system. Interested guests can add a Flash Pass to their general admission tickets and take advantage of virtual ride reservations to minimize their wait time for major attractions. Flash Pass quantities are limited to ensure their efficiency, and they cannot be used on all rides in the park. This is a controversial system, however, and many park guests do not approve of the required payment for the service – Flash Pass prices vary based on the number of guests who will be using the pass and costs begin at $26. Many other amusement and theme parks offer similar ride reservations for free, which has sparked the controversy about the Six Flags’ extra charge pass, though other visitors appreciate the exclusivity.
Extra Charges
Six Flags Over Georgia theme park tickets do not include several extra charge attractions and services. Parking is $15-20 per vehicle depending on the preferred lot and type of vehicle, while season parking passes are available for $45.
V.I.P. behind-the-scenes tours are available for $250 per guest and offer a range of fantastic experiences such as a personal park guide, front-of-line access for major rides, reserved seating for popular shows, meals, and limited edition souvenirs. While expensive, these tickets guarantee guests an amusement park visit unlike any other.
Other attractions, such as the go karts and Skycoaster rides, also require additional tickets.
Finding Ticket Discounts
Guests interested in visiting the park can look for Six Flags Over Georgia theme park ticket discounts. Local retailers may offer coupons, and Six Flags often has a partnership with popular soda or snack food companies offering discounts when guests bring in associated cans or wrappers. Many people offer discounted tickets for sale on Internet auction sites, but buyers should investigate their reliability before choosing this sometimes questionable option. Group discounts are also available through the park itself, though the exact price varies with the size of the group.
Six Flags Over Georgia theme park tickets offer guests a wide range of admission options, from general tickets to elite behind-the-scenes tours and other privileges. The only step left is to step through the turnstile and enjoy the fabulous thrills this park has to offer.

six flags ticket in georgia
-- Contributed by: marc bradshawMaggie - Parks generally do not offer discounted tickets in that way, since they have no realistic way of verifying when you are in the park and when you leave. If you're going for several days, however, I'd recommend getting season passes as a better value than purchasing individual day tickets, even if you don't return to the park later in the season. You can also try visiting multiple times in one day if possible -- an hour or two in the morning, and another couple of hours in the evening after a good break. You will not need to pay admission twice on the same day, and that could let you condense how many days you need at the park so you can save even more. Also note that group tickets usually have further discounts. Best wishes!
