When considering which tickets to purchase, you should know what your plans are. Do you just want to visit Universal Studios for one day, or would you like to come back another day? Universal Studios Admission Price: Hollywood

• 2 Days for the Price of 1. This offer costs $61 for people over 48” tall and is $51 for people under 48”. This offer is not available at the gate and must be purchased online. If you anticipate wanting to visit Universal twice while on your vacation, or would like to break you visit into two sessions, this is a good offer. You have 12 months to use your second day free.
• 1 Day with Free Anaheim Shuttle. This option costs the same as the 2 day, but instead of a second day free, it includes a free shuttle from the Anaheim area up to Universal Studios. If you’ll be staying near Disneyland but would like to take a 1-day trip to Universal, this ticket is ideal.

Even if you have a rental car, you may still want to go this route. Parking at Universal is $10, which you won’t have to pay. Then there is gas, which adds up due to the round trip being about 75 miles. You’ll also have to brave the LA traffic if you drive, which is brutal if you leave in the morning during the commute time.

• Buy a Day Get a Year Free. This limited-time offer is only available to residents of southern California. By purchasing a ticket for $61 for everyone three years and up, you’ll receive free admission for one calendar year. If you like to visit Universal Studios quite often, this deal can’t be beat.
• Front Line Pass. This ticket costs $119 for each person in your party, regardless of age or height. With it, you’ll never have to wait in line for very long because you can skip right to the front. If you were thinking of buying the two-day pass because of the long lines, you might consider this option instead. You’ll be able to enjoy every ride in the park in a single day.
• VIP Experience. For the ultimate trip to Universal Studios, consider this $199 ticket. In addition to the front line pass, you’ll also receive a 6-hour guided tour of the backlot area where the movies are made, as well as valet parking and an all-you-can-eat pass.

Universal Studios Admission Price: Orlando

Universal Studios in Orlando offers some of the same deals as the Hollywood location.

• 1 Park on 1 Day. You can use this ticket at either Universal Studios Orlando or Islands of Adventure. It’s $67 at the gate for adults and $56 for children age 3-9. Save $3 per ticket if you buy online.
• 2 Park on 1 Day. If you would like to visit both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure on the same day, consider this ticket instead. It’s ideal for those who want to hit the highlights of each park only. It costs $80 for adults and $70 for children age 3-9. Save $5 per ticket if you buy online.
• 2 Park Unlimited Admission. To really experience both parks, this ticket is a great value. You can visit both parks for an unlimited amount of time during a 7-day period. You also get access to all the clubs on Universal City Walk. This ticket is only available online and is $86 for all ages when purchased in advance, and $100 if you plan to use the ticket immediately.
