Wild Rivers
From LoveToKnow Themeparks
Wild Rivers is an extraordinary California water park with more than 40 exciting rides and attractions to cool off.
About the Park
Wild Rivers is an enormous water park with a diverse array of attractions for people of all ages. The sprawling 20 acre facility features something for everyone, and the Wild Rivers Mountain is a colossal complex of water slides that features 10 individual attractions. Many water parks tend to offer incredible thrill rides, but often neglect to provide such wonderful attractions for small children. Yet at this park, the thrill rides feature miniature duplicates so that children of all ages can participate in the excitement. The warm southern California weather makes indoor water parks obsolete.
Rides and Attractions
This family theme park features numerous slides, activity pools, inner tube rides, wave pools, and lounging areas. Some of the popular rides include:
- Bazooka Bowls: Get launched from a 4 story platform into the enormous Bozooka Tube barrel. There you go round and round, accelerating like a cannonball, spinning in circles until you plunge into the raging water below.
- Hurricane Harbor: Enjoy surfing and boogie boarding in the artificial waves of Hurricane Harbor.
- Lake Victoria: A great play pool with numerous attractions to choose from, including the Mat-o-Rama and Funball. This is a perfect pool for parents to take young children.
- Monsoon Lagoon: An amazing wave pool ideal for inner tubing, body surfing, and swimming. The whistle rings when the waves are about to begin.
- River Rapids: A true thrill ride. Slide down the side of Wild Rivers Mountain on an exhilarating 500 foot plunge aboard a single or double tube, splashing into the landing pool.
- Sunshine Terrace: Enjoy the comfortable lounges which overlook Lake Shanalee.
- The Cobras: One of the original slides, still sure to excite thrill seekers.
- Typhoon Lagoon: Miniature rides for those little ones under 54 inches.
- Wipeout: From the summit of Wild Rivers Mountain, journey 400 feet downward with a 200 gallon water shoot.
- Bombay Blasters: Enjoy the sensation of being fired from an underground cannon into the pool below.
- Kiddie Bombay: The miniature version of the Bombay Blasters ride.
- Chaos: A four story tower plunge with 360 degree twists and turns. Enjoy a single or double tube ride.

- The Patriot: A 650 foot drop from the seven story tower. Three people can do it at once. A two story vertical plunge awaits you at the end.
- Water Walk: The most popular attraction for young children. Enjoy the brightly colored tubes and pipes that children can play with. Children determine which spout the water comes out of.
- Sweitzer Falls: Tackle a simulation of plunging over Niagara Falls in a barrel that drops into an eight foot pool.
- Wahtubee: This is a race down a straight slide designed for speed. Race friends or family members aboard a single or double inner tube, where the team who gets the most elevation over the final ramp wins.
