Wisconsin Dells Indoor Water Parks
From LoveToKnow Themeparks
While central Wisconsin is well known as the “Waterpark Capital of the World” for its great variety of outdoor water parks, the Wisconsin Dells indoor water parks are just as exciting and innovative with the benefit of being open even when outdoor water parks are covered in ice and snow.
Indoor or Outdoor?
When visiting Wisconsin Dells, the first consideration travelers should make is whether they want to enjoy indoor or outdoor water parks.
Indoor water parks…
- Are available in all weather
- Are generally included with hotel stays
- Offer great attractions for young children and adolescents
- Have a more limited range of extreme thrill attractions
Outdoor water parks…
- Are larger and more extensive than their indoor cousins
- Have a greater range of larger, more impressive attractions
- Have higher admission fees
- Only operate seasonally and may close for inclement weather
Travelers who venture to Wisconsin Dells to sample the region’s extensive outdoor water parks may want to stay at an indoor water park resort to enjoy a more laid back, convenient option when the outdoor parks are unavailable. If, however, the plan is to spend as much time as possible in the larger outdoor parks, the extra expense of choosing an indoor water park may not be worthwhile.
